Grant Resources

Dr. Baker has previously won funding for a dissertation grant, an American Educational Research Association research grant, a Spencer Foundation small research grant, a National Academy of Education (NAEd)/Spencer Foundation postdoctoral fellowship, and a Russell Sage Foundation pipeline grant. Below is each proposal that she submitted with any relevant contextual information. She hopes this helps folks who are considering submitting grant proposals.

Coding Resources

When sharing some data visualizations she created on her twitter account previously (like the figure below), folks who use Stata have requested any code Dr. Baker can share. Below she will occasionally share code that seems of interest. It is from the perspective of someone who does 99.9% of their analysis work in Stata for folks who similarly were trained on Stata. It may also be helpful to people who already know R, but that’s not the intended audience. No software is holistically “better” than any other. Dr. Baker just happens to be trained in one but wanted to do something interesting in another. All snark is in good fun! (Because obviously there is snark in the comments of the code.) You’ll need R and RStudio if you want to follow along exactly.
